Progress

Lexi had her last Xray this week and everything seems to be healing well. One of the bones didn't end up perfectly straight, but it's already working itself right, and at her age there's no problem. A week before she got her cast off she started to really use her left hand. She'd draw, color, and really got the fine motor skills really cranking. It's been the last couple of days that she's starting to use her right hand to eat and color with, but not every time. It's fun to see how she goes back and forth.
Kaytlin has done great with the potty! She had an accident in her swimming suit at the beach. This was after she told me she had to go potty, we walked up the hill to the (smelly) bathroom, where she decided she really didn't have to go anymore. "Toilet eeeew." One thing she loves is the toilet hole. Disclaimer: she loves anything small or that resembles a baby whatsoever. Example - green bean at dinner, was small, she cradles it and talks to it in "parentese" (a high, sweet voice) and rocks it to sleep....
She'll point to the hole in the toilet after she flushes it and says, "Look mommy, the hole! Oh! So cute! See it? Little. Wave mommy, wave at hole. A baby hole. Oh! cute!" as she cradles her arms like she's holding and rocking a baby. Huh...
(someday I'll post pictures. i've been a bum and just haven't bothered to take it out.)

Hahahaha!
I love the vocab usage of "fine motor skills" and "parentese".
That would have been pretty funny to see her rocking the little green bean to sleep. =)
