Another birthday

We celebrated Kaytlin's birthday this week, I can't believe she's 4!  I asked her a month ago if she could just stay 3 forever and she replied, "But mom, I can't!  I can't stop growing!"
Her birthday was different because we started off in Boise, ID (at John's aunt and uncles' house) and made it home just in time to make a spaghetti dinner, have a quick celebration and bedtime.
John's aunt made Minnie Mouse blueberry pancakes (per Kaytlin's request). Mike and Lana traveled with us and picked up some sprinkled Krispy Kreme donuts too.  I had a talented Beehive in the ward make this cute cake and we had her gifts all ready for her after dinner.
I was so grateful everything turned out so well and that she had a great/weird birthday!  If only I could get her to stop growing!  ;)

John made that doll bed while we were out of town (he came for the last week)

One!

Addison turned one on a beautiful sunny day! Lexi and Kaytlin were so excited for her birthday and worked on decorations, including these birthday hats we all got to wear. :) Mike and Lana came over for presents and cake (I totally forgot ice cream!).
She got some new clothes, a few toys and a book. She seemed pretty happy with it all and was cheerful all afternoon.

That smile? Priceless!! Love ya kiddo!

Spring Break

Lexi has been asking me to teach her how to sew. Problem is, I don't exactly sew.
Since we were staying here for spring break I let the girls choose fabric (online) for pillow cases. (That has to be the easiest thing in the world to sew right?) I let them sit on my lap and help guide the fabric and then sew together some scraps all on their own. They were so happy with how they turned out and played with them (and each other!) all week. Can't wait for summer!
BTW Addie is totally walking now! And I'm so getting ready to be done breastfeeding. In the 7 years we've been married I've spent over 5 years pregnant or breastfeeding. !!!
