Is this real?

Last week we took Lexi and Kaytlin to Disneyland and Seaworld!  Yes, that means we let Addison stay behind, but she was happy to be with her Nana and Papa and had a great week at home.  On the trip there were many times we though how much she would love this or that, and other times (like staying up late or waiting in line) when we knew she would be miserable.
For two years we've had this Disneyland Jar that the kids have used to help us get to Disneyland.  We told them it took time to save up for a fun trip like that so they've been so cute, asking for extra jobs so they could put money in that Disneyland jar.  When we needed to buy them something, like an alarm clock, they agreed to get the least expensive one so we could save more and get to Disney sooner.  We also had a fake yard sale (kids idea - but we didn't want to do the real thing) and we bought the kids toys they choose to sell to earn more money.  So long story short - they learned to save and sacrifice for this fun trip.
We surprised them Monday morning, with some cash to fill up the jar the rest of the way and told them to get dressed, because we were leaving that day for our trip! (Thanks to Amy Wright for that idea!)
We stayed at John's aunt and uncles' house (15-20 min away from Disney), had 3 days at Disney/California Adventure, and drove down to Seaworld for a day too.  I loved on the way down there how they kept thinking they were dreaming! :)
EVERY single ride we went on and for other stuff Kaytlin would inevitably as "Is this real?"  We had an amazing trip - unforgettable!  Someday when we go again we want to get a big group together so we can share the fun times with more people.  And Addie will come too. :)
Picture time!

The kids were so happy to meet the different princesses!

And some fairies in Pixie Hollow.  I'm so glad we went in the off-season when the lines were shorter.  They were just long enough to eat some snacks/parts of our lunch before it was our turn.

(Just realized that's not one of my kids in the picture!)  Seaworld was slower-paced and the shows were pretty incredible.  We see orca whales every year up here, but it was really cool so really see how big they were in and how they look under water.  Amazing!

One of Kaytlin's favorite rides was this one above, and Lexi really liked the 4D Star Tours ride (we're wearing the glasses for it below)

Disneyland and California Adventure were even better than I remembered, and it was so fun to experience it all thru the girls' eyes!  Maybe everything wasn't real, but it sure was magical!
